Image
Hello, Pretty pretty! So excited about tomorrow's drag queen tutorial .  (Not-so-excited about having to discontinue my Meetup group --but meetup organizer dues are too expensive and you can do it all on FB for free.) Anyway, back to tomorrow's tutorial.   The theme is Pretty Pretty "SNOOK(i)" at You! ' I'll be making up my mister-y model into everyone's favorite lil pickle from the Jersey Shore. 3-5pm at Retrofit (910 Valencia, of course).  As always, 25% discount on all makeup for tutorial guests.   Later, catch Snooki and I at Showgirls with Peaches Christ at the Castro that eve for a lap dance! Virtual makeup and a severed head.

It happened again.  I waited too long to post and now I'm overwhelmed.  As always, I've been busy. Today I put the finishing touches (hair) on a severed head prop.  Here's what it looks like:  John the Baptist head front ...and back He should be making his television debut in a National Geographic biblical documentary early next year.   Now, on to upcoming events!     FRIDAY NIGHT Okay, I won't actually be putting lipstick on my teeth.  Experience my online drag queen makeup tutorial !  I will be demonstrating beard cover-up, eyeshadow blending, contouring, eyelash-gluing and more. This is a really fantastic way to learn because you can sit at your computer with your makeup right there beside you--you can even put your makeup on along with me and ask questions as I teach.  You can choose to share your camera and I'll help you in live, two-way video (or you can remain completely anonymous. You only share video or...

¡Dia de los Muertos!

Image
We survived October! What a fun and eventful month! I got to work on some very exciting individual Halloween makeup projects this week. Also... This is kinda how Saturday's Pretty Pretty went: Note the fact that my zombel (zombie + model) can't help but be pretty pretty. You can see the fantastic Bonni Suval in Kiss of Blood . She's a star. Tomorrow I will be out and about in the Mission for Dia de los Muertos . And I am planning on taking some face paint with me. If you see me down there say hello! REMEMBER TO VOTE! XOXO Kegel

Pretty Pretty (Look at You!) Possible Final sessions??

There are 2 Pretty Prettys in the works: October 30th 3-5pm November 20th 3-5pm What about December 2010...? Or January 2011...? Pearls Over Shanghai is allegedly closing on December 19th. Without sufficient funding (donations or makeup jobs) there's a chance that the tutorial may not be able to continue. But I don't want it to end, so I'm doing what I can. Please subscribe to this blog or become a fan of Pretty Pretty (Look at You!) on Facebook for updates. Love, Kegel

Pretty Pretty (Look at You!) Xtra spooky for Oct 30th 3-5pm

Last month's Pre-Pre Halloween Pretty Pretty had me running between doing my own Pearls face and putting a nice juicy bullet exit wound on my little guinea pig--I mean, lovely assistant. We had a blast (--get it!?) **New flash: The bullet wound on my assistant apparently made a woman scream at the BART station. Anyway, ... this Pretty Pretty is schedule for the day before Halloween, and I promise it will be just as gruesome as it will be glamorous! Who will be my assistant this time? Just think, after the tutorial you can run around terrorizing as many people as you can for the rest of the day. I'm accepting volunteers...
